Test of Emergency Messaging System: Tuesday, October 3
DCSD will conduct a test of the emergency notification system, including email, mobile app, website, social media, text and voice messaging on Tuesday, October 3. Should a real emergency arise, the test will be delayed.
If you wish to receive text messages sent regarding emergency and/or school notifications, you must opt-in as follows:
- Emergency text notification: Send text to 68453 with the message “YES”
- Standard/School text notification: Send text to 67587 with the message “YES”
What phone number will my caller ID show when I get calls?
When you receive communication from the DCSD SchoolMessenger system, the number displayed will depend on the type of message. The two types of communication include:
- Standard/School Notifications (general communication): 877-279-4061 (you may wish to add this number to your contacts)
- Emergency Notifications (critical communications): 855-695-9448 (you may wish to add this number to your contacts)
If you need to update your contact information, log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (campus.dcsdk12.org/icprod/portal/icprod.jsp) and click on “Contact Preferences” in the left-hand column. If you see an incorrect phone number or email, you may contact the registrar at your child’s school to request an update.
