STUDENT WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL/DROPOUTS

The District will notify the student’s parent or parents or legal guardian or custodian in writing when the District has knowledge that a student has dropped out of high school. For purposes of this policy, “high school dropout” shall have the same meaning as defined by the rules of the State Board of Education.  The goal of the notice shall be to attempt to return the student to school and to convey to the student’s parent or parents or legal guardian or custodian the long-term ramifications to the student of dropping out of school.
