The web pages in SchoolCenter received more than 7.5 million hits during the 2007-08 school year! The increase in communication and decreased use of paper speak volumes about the effort that teachers and other school staff members have made to connect with their communities and support students.

Several new SchoolCenter websites have arrived with the new school year. Welcome to Legend High School, Cimarron and Mesa Middle schools, and Gold Rush and Clear Sky Elementary schools! Mountain Vista High School recently switched their school site over to SchoolCenter, and two existing elementary schools are in in the process of converting their sites to SchoolCenter.

Early Childhood Education has also developed a new SchoolCenter site, that will allow preschools across the District to share resources and consolidate communication efforts. Although Preschool web pages are now located within the Early Childhood website, they will continue to use the template for the school where they are located, maintaining a consistent look for families, whether their chlldren are of preschool or school age, or both.

Secondary schools had the option of using SchoolCenter to streamline their check-in process this year; many schools sent a link to online PDF documents to parents, resulting in a significant savings in postage costs. Some schools also utlized SchoolCenter's online form capability to collect information electronically.
