Educational Philosophy

I know that all children can learn and can achieve anything they set their mind to.  My job is to make sure they internalize that belief as well.  My job is to inspire them to be life-long learners who seek out knowledge when they are curious about something in life.  It is my job to give them the skills necessary to become anything they decide to be.

I also know that learning another language can not only open one's mind to the all the different cultures in the world but can also train minds to think differently.  It trains one to be metacognitive, or to think about how one thinks.  In this increasingly global world in which we live we need to give our children the tools to be successful.  I am so glad Northridge is giving it's students those skills.
