Bonjour et Bienvenue!  My name is Maureen Curran.  I teach English as a Second Language and French 1A and 1B here at CRMS.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in French language and literature from Arizona State University and I am working towards a Master's degree in ELL/ESL.  I am excited to share my bi-cultural background and experiences with the French language and culture.  My mother is French, born in Epernay, France (where they make Champagne) and my father is American, born in Faribault, Minnesota.  I grew up in France, England and Germany and moved to the States in the third grade.  I am a complete francophile and I love spending time with my husband and 3 daughters, hiking, biking and reading in both French and English. I am looking forward to this year at CRMS and I hope to give your students a working knowlege of English and French as well as an appreciation for language and culture.
