Julie Lachance is THRILLED to be at Legend and to be teaching in the awesome performing arts department. She grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and is no stranger to Douglas County. Upon graduation from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, she headed to New York City with only two suitcases in her hands and big dreams in her heart. A few weeks after September 11th, 2001, Julie met the love of her life, her husband Maclain, who was also an actor in the big city. After performing all over NYC and the East Coast, Julie finally decided to settle down and begin thinking about her teaching career. She was accepted into the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota where she studied for three years and received her MFA in Acting. While in Sarasota, she became a member of the professional Equity Asolo Rep. Company and performed in countless plays and musicals. Her most exciting show while in Florida was being a part of the premier company of the Broadway bound "A Tale of Two Cities" the musical. It is slated to open on Broadway in September! |
