COUNSELOR FOR TEAMS:
Hi! I am Jennifer Hutchings. I am excited and honored to be here at Sagewood Middle School. This is my 9th year as a school counselor and second year at Sagewood. What I love best about school counseling is building relationships with students, teachers and parents to find meaningful solutions that foster school and personal success. Middle School is a great time of self discovery as students gain new independence and their social life becomes center stage. As fun and exciting the teen years can be they can also bring challenges. My goal is to help students learn how navigate situations, identify their strengths and manage their frustrations.
As parent myself, I know kids dont come with instructions and parenting can be a huge challenge. I have a lot of experience working with adolescents and their families and though I may not always have the right answer, I can share what I know and together we can find what works.
