Networking with Apple Learning Interchange (ALI)
 SchoolCenter Picture

This hands-on session will guide participants' exploration into a wide variety of technology-based lessons, samples, assessments, projects, etc. available on the Apple Learning Interchange (ALI).  Participants will create a login for ALI in order to access the social-networking features that are available.  In addition, they will learn how to set up and submit their own projects, lessons, and products to this global community.

Participants will learn the steps involved in creating and submitting a story/project on the Apple Learning Interchange (ALI).  Participants will focus instruction on a project-based model, with an emphasis on the practice of learning skills in the area of higher order thinking and communication.  Participants will become a part of a global community in order to network with other educators on best practices for technology integration.

In Douglas County School District, teachers are sharing technology-based lessons created in their classrooms through ALI.  They are sharing how their students are becoming 21st Century learners as they effectively communicate, research and apply technology in standards-based classrooms.  This allows our K-12 students to think critically and collaborate with one another across the curriculum.
