THANKS & APPRECIATION!!
The PTO Board would like to thank Kim Westrick for her initiative and passion for Art.  Over the past weeks, each LTE student has had an opportunity to work in an art medium that would not normally be available to elementary students.  Thanks to her efforts families will have the chance to see these beautiful art works on display during the Art Fair that will coincide with Teacher Conferences.  Thanks to Kim Westrick and Juliette Sawyer for their dedication.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Games night is being rescheduled and volunteers will be needed to plan and hold this event.  If you are interested in assisting, please contact Jody Morgan, PTO Vice President.

PTO MEETINGS
We held a PTO General Membership meeting on Tuesday, October 27. Click here for PTO meeting minutes.
We encourage a member from each family to attend the monthly meetings.  This is your opportunity to hear updates regarding completed and upcoming activities, learn about volunteer opportunities, gain an understanding of the PTO budget and to vote on key issues regarding PTO efforts.  Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24th in the LTE Library Media Center.  All Committee Chairpersons are being asked to attend this meeting in order to provide information regarding planning of their respective events.

DIRECTORY UPDATE
Directories are in their final stage before printing and should be ready for delivery shortly.  We recognize that the directory is a valuable tool that you are all anxious to receive.  Because we want to produce an inclusive and accurate directory and because new information on students and classroom placement is received up through the first weeks of the year, we appreciate your patience while we complete this daunting task completed by dedicated volunteers.  Thanks to all who purchased business or personal ads in support of the directory!

ANNUAL PLEDGE DRIVE AND BRICK SALE

Thanks to the generosity of our LTE families this year; we have raised over $26,000 toward our goal of $95,000.  Pledges will be accepted and bricks will be for sale throughout the school year, so it's not too late to support LTE's with your donation.  Stay tuned for information regarding a President's Challenge; your chance to sponsor a Lifeskill or Lifelong Guideline brick!  Buy a brick before the end of the year and take a 2009 tax deduction!

Thank you,

Your 09/10 PTO Board
