Instructional Support Services
The
mission of Instructional Support Services (ISS) is to provide the
support necessary for all students to access the general curriculum to
the greatest extent appropriate. Students may need Special Education,
English as a Second Language, Gifted and Talented or additional
Literacy services to achieve success.
The
ISS staff at Mountain View Elementary is committed to fulfilling this
mission through specialized programming provided in and outside of the
general education classroom. Specialists in a variety of disciplines
such as speech/language, occupational therapy, learning needs,
significant needs, gifted/talented, second language, psychology and
literacy work together with parents, regular education teachers and
para-educators to support the learning needs of students.
