Attention Parents and Students:  CMAS (Online TCAP)  for 7th and 8th grade students

Please keep the following in mind during CMAS:
•Students should receive a great night sleep, substantial breakfast, and a healthy lunch daily
•Students should arrive at school before 7:25 a.m. when class starts
•Electronic books will not be permitted during testing, so plan to bring a paper book
•Parents - If you are unable to schedule necessary appointments outside of the testing dates/times, please call the school in advance to make arrangements for pickup.

Open Enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year (Round Two)

  • Download a separate Open Enrollment (Round Two) application for each student
    • Complete and submit the application in person to the school of choice that you are applying for during normal office hours.
  • Applications during Round Two are added to the prioritized Round One list on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Notifications of Open Enrollment acceptance will be completed by Terri Nelson, Registrar at Cimarron Middle School

Open Enrollment Applications 2014-2015 school year (Round Two) will be available here on April 15 - August 15, 2014



Spring Fling (Fire and Ice)

Student Council will be hosting the Cimarron Spring Fling on April 24th from 6-8pm. The theme is “Fire and Ice.” Please join us for the hottest (and coldest) party of the year and come decked out in your best red and blue. Food will be available including Tacos-in-a-Bag, cotton candy, popcorn, and fire and ice Gatorade. The ticket price is $3.00 and admission is open to all Cimarron students. Tickets will be sold on stage during lunch the week of April 21-24, 2014.

Cimarron MS has yearbooks on sale for $43.00.  We have a limited quantity available, so don't miss out.  If you are not sure if you have already purchased a yearbook, you can go onto your Parent Portal account under "fees" to see.

Tour Information for Feeder Elementaries
(Students attend tour with their 5th grade class/teacher)

  • Gold Rush Elementary 5th Grade Class Tour on May 6, 2014 1-2 p.m.
  • Frontier Valley Elementary 5th Grade Class Tour on May 7, 2014 1-2 p.m.
  • Pioneer Elementary 5th Grade Class Tour on May 13, 2014 1-2 p.m.
  • Iron Horse Elementary 5th Grade Class Tour on May 14, 2014 1-2 p.m.

Students accepted through open enrollment, new enrollment, or charter school:

Students will attend one of the feeder tours. Parent and student will need to sign in at the main office.  Parents will wait in the counseling office until their student completes the tour.


Advanced/Accelerated Placement process for charter school students and out of district students that are enrolled at Cimarron Middle School for 2014-2015 school year:

  • If you would like your student to be in Advanced L.A. and Accelerated Math for 2014-2014 you will need to do the following:
    • Students will complete a advanced/accelerated placement exam in language arts and/or math
    • The exams will be administered at Cimarron through the Counseling office
    • To schedule testing please contact Kelly Pritts at 720-433-1365

Testing Date: Wednesday, May 28th from 8:00-11:00, please arrive at 7:50 a.m. at Cimarron Middle School
