We would like to welcome you to Rock Ridge Elementary School. We are excited to continue our journey towards becoming an accredited International Baccalaureate School. Gender specific classrooms are also being used to enhance the learning styles in numerous classrooms. The 2008-2009 school year will provide many opportunities for exciting changes and growth for staff, students, and our school community.

Boundary/Calendar Meeting Wednesday, November 11, 2009

7:00-8:00 pm at Rock Ridge Elementary

The Long Range Planning Committee will be conducting another meeting to review proposed changes to boundaries for Rock Ridge Elementary, Flagstone Elementary, Castle Rock Elementary, and Elementary #47.  The previous boundary options were found to not be satisfactory for numerous families within these areas. Because of this situation a new set of options were developed and will be presented. Keep in mind that the boundaries will impact whether a traditional or 4-track year round schedule will be utilized.  If you live in the following area you need to be aware of the changes proposed; Stratton, Calhan, Palmer, Monument, Tabor, Burlington, Deckers, and North Heritage.

The LRPC will consider this feedback in the recommendation to the Board of Education on November 17 th.

ALL VISITORS MUST PRESENT A VALID PICTURE ID ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES

We welcome visitors to our school. Because our primary objective is to provide a safe learning environment for our children, we ask that every visitor to our school stop at the front office.  You will be asked to provide a driver's license that will be scanned and a custom nametag will be created for you to wear and also kept on file for return visits. Every staff member is asked to wear his or her district issued identification at all times while at Rock Ridge. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
