Boundary Information for Elementary #47

The Douglas County Long Range Planning Committee and the Douglas County High School feeder principals would like to thank the hundreds of parents who attended informational meetings or provided survey input about the boundaries for Elementary #47, Flagstone, Castle Rock, and Rock Ridge.  The Long Range Planning Committee reviewed the feedback about balancing the four impacted elementary schools.  As a result, there are two additional options for consideration.

for reference that shows the areas that are being considered for the additional boundary options.  The Elementary #47 recommendations for Castle Oaks, Castle Oaks Estates (south end), Diamond Ridge, Sapphire Point, Cutter's Ridge Townhomes, Castle Park Ranch, Timber Canyon, Timber Ridge, and future Macanta are still in consideration for the new boundary.

Consequently, the timeline outlined for boundary and calendar decisions has been modified.  Following the community meetings next week, the Long Range Planning subcommittee will meet November 19th to review the input and make a recommendation to the full Long Range Planning Committee on December 6th.  The LRPC recommendation then goes before the Board of Education on December 15th for the final decision.

The calendar decisions for Rock Ridge and Flagstone will NOT be posted on December 1st because the boundary decision will not be made until December 15th.  However, those boundary and calendar decisions will be communicated by December 17th via email and school, and district websites.
