8/19/10 > Senior Parents-Check the Senior Web Site Often!
Senior Parents:  Want to know where to go to make sure you are up to date on senior information this year?  Go to the TRHS website then click on the Student tab and then click on Seniors.  Make sure to check this site frequently as information is constantly being updated.
8/19/10 > Graduation Date Set for the Class of 2011!
The Class of 2011 will be graduating on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 9:00 am at Burt.com Stadium in Parker.
8/19/10 > Dress Code Reminder
Dress Code:  With the start of the school year, please remind your student to wear appropriate clothing.  The Dress Code Policy can be found in the front of the student planners as well as on the TRHS website.  A brief recap of the Dress Code is listed on the TRHS home page.  Please review this policy to be sure you student wears the appropriate clothing to school.
8/24/10 > All Students: CARRY YOUR ID
Students: It is VERY important that you carry your ID card with you at ALL times. Starting THIS week you may be asked for your ID as you walk around campus or return to the building after lunch. In addition you will need your ID to check out all library books, textbooks and novels. If you have any questions about your ID please see either your grade level administrator or Mrs. Thomasson in the front office. If you have not had your ID photo taken, please go to the Counseling Office before school, after school or during lunch to have your ID made.
8/24/10 > School Store Hours
Need to get your Grizzly pride on? Come down to Grizzly Grub and Gear, the school store, located under the stairs near the Commons. Starting next week (week of 8/23), you can purchase new & improved Thunderwear at Grizzly Grub & Gear every Wednesday at lunch, and Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school.
8/24/10 > Jr and Sr interested in joining NHS
Attention all Juniors and Seniors interested in joining NHS: Applications will be mailed home to all juniors and seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Last year's juniors in good standing are automatically enrolled for this year. If you have any questions, see Mr. Kelly in F-231. ALSO, If you are currently in NHS, or plan to join, our first two point opportunities are available for sign-up. We need 20 students to work at Back to School Night on Monday August 23, and our first Highway Clean-up is on September 18th. If you wish to sign-up, stop by Mr. Kelly's room in F-231.
8/26/10 > Signing Up for Field Day Events
Field Day is Friday, October 1st. This year students can sign up for Field Day Events in the hallway to F-Wing. Signing up does not guarantee that you’re doing the event. The Seminar in charge of the event will determine the final roster for Field Day. Students can only participate in one activity during Field Day. Final rosters will be posted next week (week of Aug. 30th).
8/29/10 > Lost and Found Location
Have you lost a sweat shirt, sweat pants, lunch box, eye glass case or anything else? Check at the Security Kiosk for your lost and found items.
8/29/10 > Ruff N 'Tuff Volleyball Participants
Don’t miss out on one of the best homecoming events, Ruff N’ Tuff. Girls who play volleyball and want to coach their class’s team can sign up at the athletic office with Ms. Smith. Boys who want to play can also get permission slips from Ms. Smith and turn them back in to Ms. Smith no later than September 13th. Ruff N’ Tuff will be played on September 27th for field day points.
8/29/10 > Bed Races
Are you ready for bed races again? Make your bed and talk to Ms. Smith in the athletic office for the forms. Please have those back to Ms. Smith by Wednesday, September 15th, and have your bed built by Wednesday, September 29th. There will be a race for each class and a race for anyone who makes and bed and wants to participate, prizes will be awarded to the winners of this race.
8/29/10 > USE THE CROSS WALKS WHEN ENTERING/LEAVING TRHS
Please, Please, Please use the cross walks provided on Foothills Canyon when you cross the street in the morning. The crosswalks were placed there for your safety as well as the safety of drivers. Student who are not using the crosswalks are contributing to the traffic problems we are experiencing in the mornings, and they are Jaywalking. Please follow the sidewalks to the crosswalks and an administrator will be there to stop traffic and allow you to cross safely.

Hey ThunderRidge! Do you like to compete and play games with good friends? If you said yes, then Games Club is for you! We have an assortment of games, including Super Smash Brothers to play every week with a friendly group of people. We meet ever Thursday at 3:00 in Dr. Rowe’s room, E205.
8/30/10 > Community Service Opportunity
If you are good at fixing things and want to earn community service hours outside of school, the Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop needs you to help fix up bicycles. You will be trained, given supplies and can work at home getting used bikes ready for impoverished children for the Santa Claus Shop in early December. For more information, please see Ms. Busey in the library.

Attention all SNHS potential members. If you have turned in your application for Spanish National Honor Society and have not been inducted, there will be a make up induction on Tuesday, August 31st in Mr. Cohen’s room E105 at 5:15.
9/04/10 > 5K Race-Community Service Opportunity Sept. 4, 11 and 18
Need Community Service Hours? The district is sponsoring a 5K race on September 4th, 11th and 18th and needs high school students to help with the race. If interested, check the TRHS website under Counseling and Community Service.

9/07/10 > National Art Honor Society Meetings
First Meeting is Sept. 7th from 3-4:30 in C143. We will meet the 1st Tuesday of every month in C143 at 3:00.
9/14/10 > First Semester Course Fees to post on September 14th
First semester course fees will be posted to your student's Infinite Campus account on Tuesday, September 14th.  Payment can be made by going to the TRHS web page and using the credit card shortcut link labeled "DCSD ExpressLine".  You may also write one check for the total amount due and mail it to TRHS, Attention Finance Office.  All first semester course fee payments need to be received no later than September 30th.
9/18/10 > Colorado Rapids Game Tickets
Attention all Colorado Rapids Fans. The DCSD Colorado Rapids Community Day is Saturday September 18 at 7:00 p.m. The Rapids will be hosting the New England Revolution. Tickets are available on line at httpL//schools.dcsdk12.org/dcef for $16. That's $9 off the ticket price and parking is included! If you can't remember that, pick up an informational flyer outside of C102. Go Rapids.
9/18/10 > Community Service Opportunity 9/18
Need some Community Service Hours? Come help out with the Highlands Ranch Oktoberfest 5K/100Y Dash on September 18th beginning at 11 am. We need volunteers to assist with registration, serving water, set up and clean up. The race will benefit Jordan's Angel Foundation, which supports families dealing with Childhood Cancer. See Mrs. Hoffner in the library for more information.

It's the time of the year for all Grizzlies to step up our fight against breast cancer. Sunday October the 3rd is the 18th running of Race for The Cure. The TRHS National Honor Society is sponsoring a team for the third year. We are trying to have the largest high school team in the state. Anyone can join-Students, faculty and staff, parents, friends, and relatives. To join our team, go to the TRHS website and scroll to the bottom. Thank you for helping our school be the best in the state.

10/08/10 > SENIORS: Yearbook Pics Due!!
Seniors: Your senior yearbook portrait, along with the $10 yearbook portrait fee will be due on Friday, October 8th. We need an actual hard copy, wallet size, color print . . .no CDs . . . submitted to Mr Morris in C-208. Due to publisher's deadline, we cannot accept photos submitted after October 8th.
