Please use the attached order form to purchase your copy of the yearbook.

Timber Trail Chosen to Pilot Biometric Scanner

Timber Trail has been selected to pilot a new biometric scanning process to increase efficiency and speed when going through the lunch line.  The cafeteria will be using a "Touch and Go" device that will scan a student's finger and relay the information to a computer where the account can be identified.  Students will no longer have to use cards, sticks or labels to remember their number.

The finger-scan system is simple, private, highly secure, and will protect the privacy of students.  Fingerprints will not be collected.  The sole purpose of a finger-scanner is to create a number that links the student to his or her account.  The scanners are a way to speed up lunch lines and eliminate the possibility of numbers being duplicated, lost, or stolen.  Parents will have the choice of opting their student out of the scanning process.

Timber Trail Learning Tree Pledge Update

Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year at Timber Trail Elementary School!

SchoolCenter Picture

Thank you to all the families who contributed to this year's Timber Trail Learning Tree during our first week of school!  Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised $4,500.  If each family donates $50 per child, we will reach our Learning Tree Pledge goal of $30,000.  Funds raised will continue to support our teachers, school and most importantly, our children.  Items currently on Timber Trail's wish list include, Smart Boards for classrooms, a rock climbing wall for the gym, and a shade structure for the playground.

At Goal Setting conferences, all parents received a Timber Trail Learning Tree Packet with information on how to support Timber Trail through a pledge. If  you did NOT receive this packet, please contact Kelly Fuchs at cdfuchs01@hotmail.com or Sarah Phillips at sarah.e.Phillips@comcast.net and they will get this information to you.

Once your pledge is received, your family's name will be added to a leaf on the Learning Tree.  You will be sent a tax deduction form and a pledge sticker that can be placed on your car to show your Timber Wolf pride!

Many thanks to everyone for continuing to support Timber Trail Elementary School - we could not do it without you!
