Eldorado Preschool Teachers Becky Barnett-Davis-Teacher- I am excited to be the teacher at Eldorado Preschool this year! I come to Eldorado with 18+ years of experience in early childhood classrooms. This will be my third year with Douglas County. I have my BS degree from Regis University and I am licensed by the State of Colorado in Early Childhood Education. I am a Littleton native and I live in Roxborough. I have three children ages 7, 10 and 13. I also have two dogs, a cat, a gerbil and a hamster. I love to read spend time with my kids. I am looking forward to a great year with the kids and their families here at Eldorado! Karen Cooper, Regular Education Assistant- Hi, my name is Karen Cooper and I am the Regular Education Assistant. I have been in Douglas County School District as an Educational Assistant for elementary for 10 years. I live in Highlands Ranch with my husband. I have 2 sons in college. My hobbies are fishing and gardening. I really enjoy working and being a part of children's daily life.
Lisa Neiley, Special Education Assistant- Hi, I am Lisa Neiley and I will be the special education assistant at Eldorado Preschool this year. I have ten years of experience in special education and six years working with Early Intervention Transition. This will be my 10th year with Douglas County. I have lived in Highlands Ranch for ten years with my husband and twin girls who are sophomores in Highlands Ranch I also have two canine members of my family. I am excited about starting the year and getting to know the children and their families.
Judy Nelson, ECSE-Early Childhood Special Educator - Hello, my name is Judy Nelson and I am the Early Childhood Special Educator at Coyote Creek, Bear Canyon, and Eldorado Preschools. I completed my undergrad education at CU Boulder and my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education from CU Denver. I have been working for DCSD School District since 2005. I have been teaching preschool and kindergarten for the past 13 years. I am a native of Colorado and have lived in Highlands Ranch for 15 years. In my free time I enjoy swimming and spending time with my husband and three children.
Tami Cantar, Speech-Language Pathologist - Hi, my name is Tami Cantar and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist. For the 09-10 school year, I will be at Bear Canyon, Eldorado and Coyote Creek Preschools. This is my second year with DCSD preschools, however, I've been working as a speech/language pathologist with children of all ages since 1990. Preschoolers are by far my favorite age to work with. I have 2 children of my own (11 & 17). Although I've been living in Colorado for the past 16 years, I am a native of Southern California and received both my undergraduate and graduate degree from California State University of Northridge. I am excited to be able to contribute to the growth and development of the children and families I am blessed to work with this year!
Shannon Bell, MS, OTR-Occupational Therapist - Hi, my name is Shannon Bell. This is my seventh year with Douglas County preschools. I have a Bachelors degree in psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and a Masters in occupational therapy from the University of Minnesota. This year, my OT caseload includes Bear Canyon, Eldorado, and Coyote Creek preschools! I am a Colorado native and live in McArthur Ranch with my husband, son, three dogs and a cat! I am really looking forward to working with all of our new and returning kids this year
