Web 2.0 "What is it?"

According to wikipedia, "The phrase Web 2.0 can refer to a trend in web design and development - a perceived second generation hosted services (such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies) which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing among users." 

In Douglas County, we want our teachers and students practicing ethical, safe usage of the internet. Teachers are encouraged to moderate blogging, wiki and other web 2.0 instruction and student use for classes. Our district webmaster, Mark Blair has provided a website creating program, School Center which supports podcast uploading and blogging or forums for class discussions. During a recent Website i-CRT training, we shared lots of amazing resources.
