 SchoolCenter Picture Melissa Kreider, 5th Trailblazer elementary school grade teacher was interviewed by Rocky Mountain News. Her classroom was highlighted in this podcast. They also reported about her amazing tech integration... She is a recent Morgridge Foundation recipient of the 21st Century SMART classrooms. As such, she will receive a SMART interactive board. 
 SchoolCenter Picture Cheryl Abla, 2007-2010 DEP mentor and 4th grade teacher at Clear Sky Elementary,  is presenting Positive Behavior Support (PBS) at an international conference. She will incorporate how using podcasts of K-12 students sharing their own views about the impact highly relational teachers create and how it makes a difference in student engagement and learning.
 SchoolCenter Picture Adam Thornton, 8th grade History teacher at Sierra Middle School and 2005-2008 DEP mentor is making a difference. Adam's class is partnering with the organization Kiva.org to change and transform the life of a entrepreneur in a developing country by providing a micro-loan. As 2007-2010 Digital Educator Mentor, Ben was selected as the Ypulse Mashup, Yahoo! and Edutopia/The George Lucas Educational Foundation's "Totally Wired Teacher Award". Kelly Sain, 06-09 DEP mentor and 07-08 DEP mentee, Kristie Krier were  selected in the 2007-2008 school year as a Douglas County Apple award finalist. Kelly teaches technology at Saddle Ranch Elementary and Kristie is a 2nd grade teacher at Timber Trail Elementary--UPDATE: Congrats to Kristie for being chosen as the elementary Douglas County Apple award winner. SchoolCenter Picture  Ernie Diller, Chaparral High School Social Studies teacher and 06-09 DEP mentor, presented at the National Council for the Social Studies Conference in San Diego. The presentation was on Wikis in Social Studies. The presentation consisted of  what one can do with wikis, and how one needs little computer knowledge to have a successful wiki experience.
