Mountain Vista High School Parking Information
for Seniors and Juniors

ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER STUDENT

only one vehicle can be registered to a student and only one permit will be given; if a student drives vehicle not registered, the student must obtain a temporary permit at the security office before school begins

parking privileges may be revoked if a student causes himself/herself or others to be tardy to or absent from scheduled classes or activities

students cannot intentionally miss class or accumulate 4 or more tardies in any class period per quarter

students must drive safely AT ALL TIMES and must not endanger themselves or other persons or property through careless or reckless operation of a motor vehicle or presence in the parking lot; reckless driving or other behaviors may result in immediate loss of parking privileges; please note the parking lot speed limit

all student automobiles parked on school grounds must display a current MVHS permit and be parked in designated areas during school hours; vehicles parked on school grounds without a valid permit will be ticketed, booted and/or towed at the owner's expense and may result in loss of parking privileges

there will be NO WARNINGS for parking violations; parking violations will be associated with a monetary fee, and may result in revocation of parking privileges for the remainder of the school year:
1st offense $10.00
2nd offense $25.00
3rd offense $50.00
4th offense $100 and vehicle will be booted

in addition to displaying the proper permit, all vehicles must be parked properly (any vehicle impeding into another parking spot or interrupting traffic flow will be ticketed - see fines above)

all fines must be paid and satisfied to process through check-in and check-out, and to be eligible for a permit

all student drivers must be licensed and covered by insurance

students are not allowed to copy in any fashion or re-sell parking permits

one permit is $50 and permits fees are non-refundable

each permit is specific to a particular vehicle; if a student gets a new vehicle, he/she must purchase a new permit ($10)

if a student earns a D or F in any class during a quarterly grading period, he/she may lose parking privileges
-
parking regulations will be strictly enforced
