Our family loves the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not at school you will find me reading, skiing or snowmobiling. I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education at Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL in 1998, and my Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Regis University in March 2011. My husband and I have two children, Ellis, 9 and Cache, 5. I look forward to a great year working with all of your children! SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (SLP): AMY BRACKEN amy.bracken@dcsdk12.org I am a native of Webster, South Dakota. I completed my undergraduate degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at Moorhead State University (now Minnesota State University-Moorhead) in 1998, and my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2001 from the University of Wyoming. My husband and I have two beautiful children, Emma (9) and Kade (7) and a 12-year old black lab named Marley. We reside in Castle Rock, after moving here from Cheyenne, WY in 2007. This is my 6th year working for DCSD preschool, and I am SO EXCITED to meet and work with your children. I look forward to an enriching, fun and productive school year! OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT): LAURIE RICHTER laurie.richter@dcsdk12.org This is my eight year working in Douglas County Preschools. Before coming to Douglas County, I worked in the school systems in Hawaii with students age 3 to 21. I was born and raised in Montana and received my masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Dakota. I now reside in Castle Rock with my husband, Patrick and our two sons, Caden, 4 and Jacksen, 2. Thank you for sharing your children with us. I look forward to a fun and successful school year. EDUCATION ASSISTANT: Natalie Schunk natalie.schunk@dcsdk12.org This is my second year working in preschool within the Douglas County School District. This year, I am an educational assistant in four different schools. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Special Education. Additionally, I have a minor in reading. In 2011, I was fortunate to spend three months in Swaziland working with children of all ages at various care points. I was able to interact and play with these wonderful children. This is how my love and desire to work with preschool-aged children developed. I hope to return to Africa and work with children again someday. I am an avid reader and I enjoy playing tennis and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to workingwith your children this year. SPECIAL EDUCATION ASSISTANT: ALLISON ROSIPAJLA allison.rosipajla@dcsd12.org I have had the privilege of working for Douglas County Schools for the past 5 years. I am a Southern California native and worked in education for 4 years prior to moving to Colorado. I reside in Castle Rock with my husband Larry and our two children Lauren, 20 and Aaron 18, who are both now college students. Preschoolers are my absolute favorite age and I look forward to working, loving and learning with your children this coming year. When I'm not working you can find me running, biking or at the Gym! |
