Wal-Mart and Sam's Club Community Grants
Deadline: None Eligibility: School and community nonprofit groups
Description: The Wal-Mart and Sam's Club Foundation's Community Grant Program includes both Matching and Direct grants to be awarded by local stores. Matching Grants match funds that are raised for a specific cause by local nonprofit groups such as schools. Additionally, once a store has met certain criteria in the Matching Grant Program each year, a second source of funding is awarded to the store for Direct Grants in the community. Direct Grants do not require a fundraiser to be held. For further information on either program, contact the Community Involvement Coordinator at your local Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. (For Sam's Club, most DCSD schools should contact the Lone Tree store; Parker and Sedalia schools should contact the new Smokey Hill store.) See www.walmartfoundation.org and click on Community.
Funds: Up to $1,000 for Matching Grants. Various amounts for Direct Grants.
