 The first ever Douglas County School District Colorado Mammoth Community Night, sponsored by the DCEF, was held on Saturday, February 14th, 2009 at the Pepsi Center. The host Mammoth beat the visiting Calgary Roughnecks 13-12 in a wild and spirited National Lacrosse League contest. Over 600 Douglas County lacrosse fans were able to purchase discounted tickets for this new community fundraiser. Two dollars of each ticket sold was donated to the DCEF, raising approximately $1,200 to directly benefit Douglas County Schools!
A special ceremony was held on the field during halftime as
the Mammoth recognized the DCSD and DCEF for the great turn out. Following the game, DC fans were able to
participate in a shoot around on the Mammoth turf.
The DCEF looks forward to another great event in the Winter
of 2010!
