Volunteer Needs As the Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF) continues to focus on developing resources to provide Community Support for Learning Excellence, it is important to understand that the Foundation is a volunteer oriented organization. From its inception, the volunteer effort has been a core resource, 'the glue" that continues to hold the DCEF together and a force to energize it for the future. Volunteer Opportunities - Adult/Youth We accept volunteer assistance from both adults and youth in the areas of clerical support, data entry, mailings, newsletter production and special projects. Youth - High school students can volunteer to satisfy required community services hours. The DCEF also participates in the Ventures in Partnership vocational education program. We are also listed in the Leadership Douglas County Community Service Directory and on The Student Volunteer Network. Adult -Special Event volunteers come from many areas of the community. These dedicated people spend countless hours helping to make each fundraising event a success. Volunteers can choose to work for an evening, a week, a few months or more. Opportunities include: Committee Work, Event Prep, "Day Of" Event Work, Event Clean up and Post Event Summary. Volunteer Opportunities - Community The DCEF belongs to the Douglas County Volunteer Coalition, a group dedicated to promoting volunteerism and collaborations within our community.
