The 3rd Annual Douglas County School District Denver Nuggets Community Night, sponsored by the Douglas County Educational Foundation, was held on Saturday, January 17th, 2009.  Over seventy schools from throughout the district participated in selling more than 5,300 discounted tickets for the basketball game.  More than a fourth of the 19,749 fans in attendance, at the sold out Pepsi Center, were DCSD students, families, employees and community members.  The overwhelming support of this event raised approximately $11,000 for the Foundation, which will directly benefit Douglas County Schools!

Douglas County fans did their best to cheer on the Nuggets, but saw their team lose 106-88 to the visiting Orlando Magic.  During halftime, a special ceremony was held on the court as the Nuggets recognized the DCSD, DCEF and representatives from the top attending schools for the fantastic turn out.  This marks the second year in a row that a Denver Nuggets single game group ticket attendance record was broken by Douglas County!

"Our Kroenke Sports (Avalanche and Nuggets) community nights have proven to be a very successful way to bring our community together while offering a tremendous deal through our partner!  This partnership has opened up many doors for the DCEF that will enable the Foundation to continue to offer great deals while raising valuable funds for the district," said DCEF Executive Director Sean McGraw.  The DCEF looks forward to another great event in the Winter of 2010!

Denver Nuggets Appreciation Game

In appreciation for participating in the 3rd Annual DCSD Community Night on January 17th, 2009 the DCEF and Nuggets welcome Douglas County back for another game!  This great appreciation discount offer is for Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at 7 PM versus the Golden State Warriors.  Tickets will be first-come, first served, different than the seating by school section offered during the community night.
