Colorado Preschool Program (CPP)

The Douglas County School District Early Childhood Department is a proud participant in the Colorado Preschool Program. CPP provides funding for families who, due to financial or other situational circumstances, may be unable to provide a quality preschool experience for their children.

Eligibility to participate in the Colorado Preschool Program is based on family need and risk factors which include, but are not limited to:

  • Significant Family Events:  divorce, multiple moves, unemployment
  • Financial Circumstances
  • Developmental Risk Factors:  language concerns, social skills, family history
  • Learning English as a Second Language

Children must turn 3 or 4 years of age before October 1, 2009 to participate in the program. Students who qualify for CPP attend preschool Monday through Thursday for 2 ½ hours each day.
