The first ever Douglas County School District Community Night with the Colorado Rapids was held on Saturday, August 16th, 2008 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The host Colorado Rapids defeated the Kansas City Wizards 2-1 on a wet and chilly summer night. 

Almost 500 Douglas County soccer fans were able to purchase discounted tickets for this new community fundraiser.  One dollar of each ticket sold was given back to the DCEF raising approximately $500 to directly benefit Douglas County Schools.   

Additionally, students from Eldorado Elementary participated in a special pre-game ceremony where they escorted the starting eleven from both the Rapids and Wizards onto the field.  The DCEF looks forward to another great event in the Summer of 2009!
