Multimedia Colorado...Now & Then |
Here is an overview of my project, "Multimedia Colorado...Now & Then." Colorado History is a large portion of my curriculum. This project is integrated across the following subjects: reading, writing, social studies, and technology. My students will access electronic resources to gather information on aspects of Colorado (landforms, famous people, tourist attractions, state symbols, etc.). They will access both our classroom and .Mac web sites to post the research. Using Google Earth, students will create precise, geographic "placemarks" for their research that will include web links, primary documents, and video. Software like iMovie and PowerPoint will be utilized for projects like those described below. Students will capture images and video for projects such as: digital stories & postcards, brochures, diary entries, and "commercials" selling Colorado. Using Garage Band, students will create podcasts including: "interviews" with past and present Coloradoans, self-written songs, and "roving reports" from various Colorado locations. As previously mentioned, podcasts will be uploaded to our classroom site and other forums such as our .Mac account, iTunes, and Podomatic. These are the digital tools that I received in my tool kit:
On this page I will post the various documents that I use to carry out my project. This work includes:
