Begin the new year by training for the 2nd Annual Fittin' It In 5K, scheduled for April 28!
Early registration is open until February 14 at the Boulder Running Company, Greenwood Village:8505 E. Arapahoe Road, 303-990-5000. Proceeds from the event will benefit the school of your choice.
Boulder Running Company will again provide a $1000 grant to the school with the most registrations.

         2011 'FITTIN' IT IN 5K' HIGHLIGHTS

The Douglas County School District’s Fittin" It In 5K healthy fund-raising event held Saturday, April 30 at Highlands Ranch High School was a huge success! Approximately 775 participants registered  for this event and many community members came out to support our schools.  The Douglas County Educational Foundation was proud to partner with DCSD and the Boulder Running Company DTC to host the race.

Highlights:

• Proceeds will be distributed to each school based on the number of  participants.
• Fox Creek Elementary was the recipient of $1,000 donated from Boulder Running  Co., DTC, for highest participation, plus Fox Creek will receive an additional  $2,000+ from the event’s proceeds.
• Students from ThunderRidge High School, Cresthill Middle School, and Sand Creek Elementary provided race day entertainment.
