READING BUDDIES! If you would like to make a big difference in the life of a child, sign up to volunteer at Highlands Ranch Public Library to become a Reading Buddy.  You will work with a child on reading skills and do fun activities with them to encourage their interest in books.  Pick up an application in the library from Ms. Busey or Ms. Hoffner.

OPPORTUNITY ALERT from now until October 9:

The Denver Botanic Gardens is currently seeking volunteers for the Annual Pumpkin Festival at our Chatfield location.  You can join the fun as a Pumpkin Festival volunteer on Saturday October 9th or Sunday October 10th at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, located in Littleton.  Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of areas including pumpkin measurers, children’s activities assistants, pumpkin patch or entrance cashiers, beverage booth attendants and more!  Morning and afternoon shifts will be available each day.  Volunteers will receive free refreshments and lunch and a pumpkin of their choice from the pumpkin patch. 

When you log onto our on-line registration system you will be able to view all of the available positions and timeframes on-line and then sign up for the day and time that fits into your schedule.  This link will connect you to our website.
You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and a password.  This can be any password that is easy for you to remember.  You will then be asked to enter your contact information into your profile.  After you choose a position and confirm your selection the system will send you an e-mail confirmation of your registration.

Jordan's Angel Foundation needs 20 volunteers to help with 5K/100Y Octoberfest Dash Saturday, September 18th!!!!

Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers are needed to assist with registration/check-in, directing runners on the course, serving water on the course, and beverages following the run, set up and clean up of the race.

Time: 11:00 a.m.  - 2:30 p.m.

Location: Town Center, 9352 Dorchester Street (The start/finish line is at the Ridgeline/Dorchester intersection. The 100 yard dash will finish in front of Lansdowne Arms.

LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY NEEDS YOU AT THE DENVER MARATHON! October 17th.  It’s that time of year again.  Team In Training is seeking some of the most enthusiastic and energetic volunteers out there to help us cheer on our team of 120 Denver Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & Half Marathon participants.  We hope that the students from ThunderRidge High School will be able to join us again this year!  Each volunteer student will receive an official Denver Marathon T-shirt as well as 4-8 hours of community service time to add to their resume.
