Administrators' Welcome

Dear Families of Cherokee Trail Elementary,

On behalf of all of the staff at Cherokee Trail Elementary, it is indeed my pleasure to welcome you to a new and exciting school year.  For those of you whose children have attended our school in the past, we are so glad to have you returning.  And for those of you whose children are just entering CTE, we are pleased to have you as a part of our school community.

I am honored to be serving as your new principal this year. Although I have had the pleasure of meeting with some of you during Assessment Conferences, I look forward to meeting each of you very soon.

I know from meeting with teachers, parents, community members, and your past principal, Regina Renaldi, that CTE is a school committed to excellence.  Academic achievement, character development, commitment to safety, and a sense of belonging and community are high priorities at CTE.  Please be assured of my commitment to honoring your accomplishments and my hope of contributing to even greater success in the future.

Thanks so much for making this such a smooth start to the school year.  I am so excited about working with your students!

2008-2009 School Theme

DREAM. THINK. ACHIEVE.

DREAM … What are your student(s) dreams?  What do they want to accomplish this year?

THINK … How can we become critical thinkers?  What does it mean to reflect?

ACHIEVE … Reach for the stars!  If you believe you can do it, it will happen.
Mission Statement

"At Cherokee Trail Elementary, we believe that the educational process is a partnership in learning among children, parents, staff and the community. Our goal is to shape children as thinkers and life-long learners, who, with a firm belief in themselves, and respect for others, strive to reach their maximum achievement potential."
